Wow, parking downtown just got a lot more expensive. At these rates, you might as well just park in a garage. I'm afraid the street parking price increases will in turn raise the garage parking rates. I don't know about you guys, but I'll be busing or walking a LOT more if I need to get downtown now.
How does this change your trips to Seattle, if at all? If I lived out in the suburbs, I could just see myself driving to Bellevue instead to do any shopping since all the parking there is free. Will this have a negative impact on downtown businesses?
