Halloween in Seattle!
« on: October 27, 2010, 11:02:21 PM »
What's everyone doing for Halloween?  Share your plans or promote a party here.  This one sounds a little different...

Naked Pumpkin Run, an event where like-minded people party, carve and decorate pumpkins and streak en masse with their pumpkin creations on their heads. NPR is a non-political, participatory arts event.

Go as bare as you dare! The event is clothing-optional, nudity is not mandatory. However, most people prefer to go nude or topfree, especially when considering the anonymity of wearing a pumpkin-head mask.

Here's another good one, not on the 31st, but for a good cause:

Join Jason & Molly Mesnick of "The Bachelor" and other celebrity guests at the StandUp For Kids Spooky Soiree Halloween Party on Friday, October 29, 2010, from 9pm to 1am at The Hawk's Nest Sports Bar and Grill in Seattle. Wear your craziest costume for a chance to win some "spooktacular" prizes!  Judges for the costume contest include: Jason and Molly Mesnick of "The Bachelor", Jen Mueller of Fox Sports Northwest, Don O'Neill from the "Ron and Don Show" on 97.3 KIROFM, Matt Pitman, 710 ESPN Seattle host of Seattle Mariners Pre and Post Game Shows and Mike Salk of the Brock and Salk Show.  Your Halloween costume and your paid admission will get you the following:  Entrance into the costume contest, a raffle ticket for a chance to win cool prizes, luscious food bites sponsored by The Hawk's Nest Sports Bar and Grill to start off the night, and a sweet Lululemon bag filled with unbelievable swag from several local sponsors! You can dance all night with picks by our expert DJ, mingle with the celebrities, and try out the exclusive drink that Skyy Vodka is helping concoct for the party goers. Kick off Halloween 2010 early by getting your ticket for $25.  Don't wait around, because tickets go up to $30 after October 24th!  Be sure to get tickets for your friends as well before they sell out!  Spooky Soiree is presented by StandUp For Kids-Seattle, a local, all-volunteer organization that works with homeless and street youth in Seattle.  Having fun and supporting us at the Spooky Soiree will help us provide outreach and support to kids living on the street.  Questions about the organization or the event?  E-mail us at seattle@standupforkids.org.  Follow us on Facebook  at StandUp For Kids (Seattle) and keep up-to-date with our tweets by following us on Twitter @SUFK_Seattle.
